About the Symposium

This is our second international symposium following the grand success of our first one in March 2016 (https://uclannanomedicine.net). Both symposiums are the part of the dissemination activities of our past and on-going UKIERI projects.
In this virtual symposium, we aim to connect nanoscience and nanotechnology researchers worldwide from academia, industries and hospitals to discuss the current progress of 4 major thematic areas (https://secondnanosymposiumatuclan.net/themes/). In addition of 10 keynotes, 28 orals and 24 flash poster presentations via zoom, we will also have an opportunity to discuss together in a dedicated 1 hour forum session with panellists from industries, academia and hospitals focusing  current challenges Nanoscience & Nanotechnology is facing and how we can overcome such challenges for the benefit of the society (https://secondnanosymposiumatuclan.net/forum/).

Highlight of the virtual conference:

10 Keynotes, 28 Orals, 24 Flash Posters and remaining posters via conference website
Three special issue journal publications from the submitted abstracts.
Best 10 full manuscripts both under article & review categories from Theme 2 will be selected from submitted abstracts and will be published as a special issue via peer-review process in “Nanomedicine” (http://www.futuremedicine.com/loi/nnm)  by Future medicine
Next 10 full articles from Theme 3 will be published in Biomedicine (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/biomedicines/about)
All remaining full manuscripts will be published in Materials Today: Proceedings by Elsevier (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/materials-today-proceedings/).
An abstract proceedings from registered delegates will be published via the conference website.
